“My intention is to provide compassionate care that addresses each of my patient’s unique health concerns and achieve the most effective results. Patients report improved energy and emotional wellbeing, decreased pain and tension, and reduced occurrence and intensity of symptoms and illness. Acupuncture and herbal medicine are so beneficial in treating many health concerns, and most importantly in helping to build a solid foundation for optimal health. The journey there is often one of personal discovery and meaningful partnership. That relationship and transformation is what I love about this work.”
Heidi’s own journey begins growing up in San Francisco surrounded by nurses and other medical heroes. Her exposure and intrigue with medicine was expanded much further after undergoing brain surgery as a teenager. This experience also resulted in her first acupuncture treatment. The seed was planted! Her path toward healing began soon after when she transitioned in college from Computer Science to Recreation Therapy, with the goal of helping people achieve a more balanced, engaged lifestyle. Years later, searching for a more hands-on, deeper approach to healing, she re-discovered her fascination with Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Over 20 years later, Heidi has successfully implemented and facilitated a number of acupuncture clinics and provided thousands of acupuncture treatments to help patients achieve improved health and wellbeing. Patients describe her style as being very supportive, engaged, and highly intuitive. Her specializations include acute injuries and chronic pain, mood disorders and stress related symptoms, immune and adrenal imbalances, and digestive difficulties. While she loves working with patients of all ages, she has particular interest in helping teens manage stress and tension, heal from injuries, and develop mindful, balanced self-care.
Aside from studying different healing modalities, Heidi most enjoys exploring other cultures, dancing or listening to various genres of music, and spending time outdoors with her husband and teenage son hiking, biking, or running the many trails of Marin.
